September 2019

President's Report

What an amazing September we have had! The Gala Committee led by President-Elect Stephanie Olivares put on the glitz and glamour at our President’s Gala September 11, 2019, held at the beautiful Witte Museum. Thank you to the many sponsors and patrons for making the biggest night of the year a success. Photos will be posted soon to our social media outlets.

Tuesday, October 8, 2019 is a very important meeting. It is our Annual Meeting mandated by NACE National and our chapter elections. The Alamo Chapter Board works very hard all year to provide programs and content that develop and enhance personal and professional success. Come listen and engage with the board as they present the financials and current state of our chapter.

Members will be asked to vote during cocktail hour; please be on time and ready to cast your ballot. The one-year Board of Directors will be elected on the ballot to serve a one-year term in 2020. There is still time to get on the ballot. Please reach out to Sarah James, Immediate Past President, with questions and concerns about job descriptions and time commitments. Her email is [email protected].  I am also available to answer these questions. The continuity and success are dependent on service and volunteering to make sure that there is a strong chapter after board members transition. If you aren’t ready run, that’s ok! We will be putting more energy into building committees at the board level for 2020. If you are interested, please let us know.

Thank you, San Antonio Botanical Garden, Great Events, and Spice of Life Catering, for supporting our next meeting.

Christina L. Alvarado, CPCE

President
